The high corrosion resistance of stainless steels is a key requirement for durability, not only in the construction industry. With the EC-Pen it is possible to carry out electrochemical measurements both in the laboratory and in the field on surfaces with any geometry. Welding processes can be optimized, quality controls can be carried out non-destructively, and surface treatments can be tested quickly and efficiently for effectiveness.

The ec-pen can also be used to perform measurements with potentiostats in the laboratory (e.g. recording current density-potential-gradients). Using a special cable, which can be obtained from TFB Diagnostic Systems AG, the EC-pen can be connected to the potentiostat PguTouch of our partner IPS Elektroniklabor GmbH & Co. KG.
